Make a date with Salford Museum and Art Gallery’s Christmas Open House event on Wednesday (14 Dec). Completely free to attend, visitors can enjoy vintage style Christmas craft, art and food stalls from local producers in the Museum’s many galleries and public spaces, as well as exploring Lark Hill Place (pictured), the Museum’s immaculately recreated Victorian street. There will be live music from folk artist Chloe Foy – a must for fans of Laura Marling – who will set a magical scene, plus homemade food and drinks. Don’t forget to pop into the museum shop or in house art gallery on the way out. If you fancy making your own decorations or gifts this year, why no take part in the museum’s Christmas Craft Social workshop? Entry to this workshop-style event is £5.50 but if you’re making all your gifts yourself this year, it could be the best fiver you’ve spent all year. Merry Christmas!
