After months serving out in sister restaurant, Manchester burger joint Almost Famous returns this week with a series of freebies, culminating in a no-guestlist opening party on Thursday (28 Nov).  The former High Street operation, which spectacularly burnt down in late June, will be reopening in the Great Northern Warehouse (next to All Star Lanes bowling, opposite Brewdog and Albert Hall) adding to the regeneration of this part of the city. They will be offering the ‘ultimate best evers bacon sandwich’ for free tomorrow (Tue 26 Nov), both during lunchtime at the restaurant and delivered to a select few offices around the city. On Wednesday (27 Nov) meanwhile, Almost Famous promises simply ‘free sauce’. The official re-opening takes place on Thursday (28 Nov), with a launch party open to all from 5pm onwards, including free drinks and nibbles, plus DJs til late. Since July, Almost Famous has offered its burgers via the adjoining Luck Lust Liquor & Burn.
