Moving venues once more to keep one step ahead of the law, Manchester’s Fight Club for artists will be returning for another ruckus this April at Oxford Road’s Contact Theatre. Art Battle pits ten artists against each other in a bare knuckle paint off that can only end in tears. Or in the audience voting for one artist over another. The last two have sold out and raised over £1000 for local charities, with proceeds from this month’s events helping Contact Theatre with its youth projects. This particular battle will see Tony Husband, cartoonist for Private Eye and The Times, making his first appearance on the battlefield.
