An interactive programme of events and art exhibition, entitled This Is Human, takes over HOME during August. Curated by Project X, a team of 11 young creatives from the local area, and the programme features happenings in the theatres, cinemas, and gallery. Standout events include ReTreat, a sensory installation which uses sounds, lights, and projections to create a place of peace and contemplation. Occupy is an installation in the gallery featuring a large-scale, interactive puppet. On Thursdays, there will be mindfulness sessions, yoga, and free late-night events – including music and performance. This Is Human also features a curated film season, with screenings of cult classics including Little Miss Sunshine and Blue is the Warmest Colour. Closing event, In Motion, is a night of VJ’ing, music, and choreographed movement.

Until Sat 26 Aug, HOME, 2 Tony Wilson Place, Manchester, M15 4FN, Tel: 0161 200 1500, Event times vary, FREE (except for film screenings), homemcr.org
