Since opening the first Hard Rock Café in London back in 1971, the 210 Hard Rock restaurants, hotels and casinos around the world have been a haven for music lovers with incredible music memorabilia adorning the walls. In Manchester, look out for Bowie set lists, guitars played by Kiss’s Paul Stanley and even a gold jacket worn by Elvis on his first UK tour in 1959. The hall of fame whets the appetite for a cold beer (or two) and American diner styled eats. Hard Rock celebrates it’s 46th birthday on Wednesday 14 June – and to celebrate they’re serving their Original Legendary Burger for just 71p to commemorate the year in which their first branch juke joint opened in London. Drop in between noon and 1pm, and enjoy Hard Rock’s signature burger (smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, a golden friend onion ring, lettuce and vine ripened tomato served on a brioche bun with fries) for less than a quid. With live acoustic sets and birthday cake, we’re guessing it will be the liveliest 46th you’ll go to this year.
