Elton John, the pianist and vocalist, really is appearing live in Leigh next summer in the new rugby stadium near to Manchester. Tickets go on sale on Friday 8 November at 10am. This is a rare chance to see the great diva play hits like Rocket Man, Candle in the Wind and the much-covered likes of Your Song from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. Quoted on the Leigh Sports Village website, Elton John says that he’s really looking forward to playing places that he’s never been to before, like Leigh.
