London artist and musician SOHN – real name, Christopher Taylor (pictured) – decamped to Vienna some time ago, immersing himself in its vibrant scene. But this Autumn he’s returning triumphant for tour of both the UK and North America, and he’ll be bringing his own brand of soulful Euro-flavoured electro to Manchester’s Gorilla. The tour comes off the back of his album Tremors, released earlier this year on the 4AD label, themselves responsible for some of the most exciting records of the past few years. This debut solo outing follows years of online infamy for SOHN and high-profile collaborations with the likes of Rhye and Lana Del Rey. Punters can expect a sample-heavy set, full of queasy angular beats and unexpected religious overtures. His live performances, like his studio recordings, are scalpel precise with a production-line consistency that belies the artistry underneath. Tickets go on sale this Friday
