Word Life is celebrating its 10th year by publishing a special anthology, featuring the nation’s favourite poets such as Hollie McNish, Helen Mort and Andrew McMillan. The anthology will launch at a series of shows – in Manchester, Sheffield, Wakefield, Lincoln and London – with line-ups including a selection of the book’s contributors. Taking place at Gullivers, the Manchester event boasts the scathing verbals barbs of Thick Richard and multiple prize-winning Helen Mort, along with Gaz Roberts, Gevi Carver and more, including an open mic. Word Life has run the poetry and literature section of Now Then magazine’s Manchester edition since its first publication in October 2012, and regularly produces events across Yorkshire and the UK.
