Cult film lovers, RAD Screenings, are to return to the film archives of quotable hero Nicolas Cage for their next movie marathon. His memorably manic overacting and darkly comic characters have garnered a gargantuan following, who’ll no doubt be pleased with the four gems mined from his back catalogue. The programme, which spans his career, ranges from black comedy horror Vampire’s Kiss (1989) through to the more recent surrealist crime drama Bad Lieutenant (2009). The immersive all-dayer at Gorilla also welcomes 1990 comic crime thriller Wild At Heart and The Rock, Cage’s unmissable mid-90s brush with chemical warfare alongside Sean Connery’s Alcatraz expert. A must-see for any and all Cage fans, from part-time dabblers to serial flag-wavers.

Sun 11 Sep, Gorilla, 54-56 Whitworth Street, Manchester, M1 5WW. Tel: 0161 407 0301, noon-10pm, £15 for the marathon (or £5 per film), www.thisisgorilla.com
