Comedy act Cardinal Burns is bringing its stage show to The Lowry this October. Although most famous for their TV sketch show, the duo of Seb Cardinal and Dustin Demri-Burns have been a popular stage act for many years. Their breakthrough came at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009, which was followed by sell out runs at London’s Soho Theatre, plus performances at Latitude and Leeds festivals. The first series of their TV show aired in 2012, and featured breakout sketches about ‘Banksy’, who was portrayed as a middle-aged father of two. The show was hit and won a British Comedy Award and claimed a BAFTA nomination. The second series screened earlier this year. The duo’s live show will feature their popular TV characters, along with some new faces.
