We all share a musical bond with our parents. For some its Sabbath, for others it might be Dylan. And for a pitied few it’s Abba. But for Craig Charles and his son Jack Tyson Charles it’s funk and soul so they’ve teamed up for a very special family edition of the former’s Funk and Soul Club at Band on the Wall where Jack will be performing his first full live set. That’s some pretty supportive parenting. Though cries of nepotism will fall on deaf ears after learning of Jack Tyson Charles career as a singer/songwriter and one that has appeared on Lack of Afro’s 2014 LP ‘Music for Adverts’ and his first solo release ‘Restoration’ coming out this year. Check out track ‘Taking it Back’ here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRU3f6I8ufE. Bringing his impressive soul outfit to Manchester to play Craig’s iconic night is an added treat for those looking for a little funk on a Saturday night.
