The man who refers himself the ‘Aldi Bublé’ is taking on a surprisingly upmarket venue for only the second time the Albert Hall has been used as a comedy venue. The first was of course the two night sell out run of Adam Buxton’s Bowie Bug special – and David O’Doherty, ‘the Ryanair Enya’, is taking his Casio keyboard to the big stage in the hopes of emulating Captain Buckles. A welcome addition to any and many TV panel shows, O’Doherty’s special brand of musical schtick really pops when performed live as the ‘Greggs Cullum’ tinkles his circa 1986 portable keyboard and makes strange and wonderful songs about all manner of minutiae.
