Faktion has always been a promotion that takes risks, bookings acts years before other outfits dare to. Their last party took place in the corridor of a Northern Quarter building, so by comparison their latest event seems a little safe. Luckily, it’s also one of the most exciting lineups Manchester has seen in a long time. Fresh from his production work on Kanye’s ‘Yeezus’, Evian Christ has put together a two-date Trance Party, one night in London, one in MCR, featuring some of his favourite acts. Alongside the godly one, Holy Other will be making his DJing debut – which will be of note to those looking to trace the influences of the Tri Angle Records prodigy. 2022nq will also play host to Arca – another producer known for his work with Kanye, Left Blank’s Vessel, a welcome return to Manchester for Lukid, with Wanda Group finishing off this intriguing group. Demand for this event is likely to be big, especially accounting for all those obsessive Tri Angle fans, so booking now would be advised. There’s a high chance that this is going to be one of those ‘were you there?’ moments for years to come.
