Alt-rock sages Grandaddy are due in Manchester this March on a tour that marks 25 years since the band first formed in California. It’s a long overdue return to the gigging circuit and follows new material in the form of their Last Place LP, which has seen suitably giddy radio play by DJs keen to see the band’s musical flames reignited on the Albert Hall stage. Dutch melody maker Amber Arcades, whose shimmering debut album, Fading Lines, received an unwavering 10/10 grade courtesy of Drowned in Sound, has been named as support for what will be a night of soul-some songsmithery.
