Hangingditch wine merchants will toast their tenth birthday with a huge Wine Fair at Manchester Cathedral. The two-day celebration is their biggest yet and sees the debut appearance of The Wine Gang, four nationally-known plonk professionals. The Friday session will be hosted by The Observer’s wine writer David Williams and Saturday Kitchen’s Jane Parkinson, while International Sake Challenge chair Anthony Rose and House & Garden’s online wine scribe Joanna Simon take the reins for the Saturday sessions. The quaffing quartet will deliver masterclasses, wine walks and carefully curated cases to be enjoyed over the winter holidays. Over 200 wines will be showcased in the impressive environs of the Cathedral, alongside beer, spirits and food. Early bird tickets are on sale now – masterclass booking is also recommended.
