Last year the Independent Manchester Beer Convention revolutionised the beer festival when it took over the beautiful Victoria Baths – and it plans to do it all again this October. Only bigger, better and beerier. Brought to you by the team behind Common, Port Street and recent venture The Beagle in Chorlton, 2012’s inaugural Indy Man Beer Con was spread over days and brought us beers from local brewers as well as emissaries from around the world who came to taste and educate. With informative talks on the art of brewing and the nature of craft beer, plus great food from local sellers, IMBC was a huge success. For their second outing the festival promises to use the space more effectively and add more music, entertainment and performance. Last year Former Bullies played a live set during a pop-up Ping Pong Club so who knows what lies in store this time round. Tickets are available now so go get yours via the festival website below to avoid missing out, then watch the countdown clock with thirsty anticipation.
