There’s going to be approximately 666 events taking place on Halloween, but this is sure to be one of the best in the city. Lydia Lunch’s Séance is a concert, not a literal séance – but we accept no responsibility for any spectres that may happen to appear. Lunch is an American singer/songwriter who first broke through as part of the ‘No Wave’ scene in 1980s New York, where she proved herself a provocative and fiercely independent artist. She has released 30 albums, including collaborations with Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore and Nick Cave’s old outfit The Birthday Party. Also on the bill will be local rockers PINS, who have released two acclaimed albums and supported Sleater-Kinney on their recent tour. Rounding out the line-up will be the bands Water and ILL. The event is presented by Fat Out’s Burrow, a music programming residency at Islington Mill’s event space.
