Following their successful Kickstarter campaign last month, Shebeen Events, Blackjack Brewery and GRUB have revealed more information about this year’s Shebeen Festival on Saturday 2 May. The trio have revealed that the festival will be taking place across three venues in the Green Quarter: Runaway Brewery, Glassworks Distribution and Blackjack Brewery. Throughout the three venues, an extensive food and drink offering will feature over 40 taps of beer, a dedicated wine and tapas bar (hosted by festival sponsors Reserve Wines and Lunya) and a diverse range of street food vendors – providing options from Italy, Thailand, the Middle East, Spain and the Deep South, among others. Music for the festival is being booked by the thrillingly hirsute Hey! Manchester, So Flute, Goff and Lee Gorton, with comedy acts supplied by alternative comedy promoters Sham Bodie. Arts collective Draw North West will be overseeing a special exhibition for Shebeen, meanwhile. The festival will be announcing more additions, plus confirmed line-ups, over the coming weeks. The majority of the tickets for the events have already been purchased through the recent Kickstarter campaign to launch Keystone, a new permanent events space in the are – but the remainder of places will be made available from today (Friday 27 March) via Shebeen’s Eventbrite page below.
