Manchester club night Electric Chair continues its comeback in late May when The Electric Weekender takes over The Refuge. New York DJ François K will head an evening of early-1980’s loft party vibes on the Friday (26 May), Croatia’s Love International will take the musical reins from midday until late on Saturday (27 May), while Ibiza’s Pikes Hotel host a foodie Sunday (28 May) as Balearic beats meet tasty tapas. Other clubbing and culinary highlights include Alex Barck from Jazzanova, Bugged Out’s James Holroyd, top UK restaurant Levanter, and, on street-food duties, former Mark Addy chef Robert Owen Brown. The weekender, organised by the Unabomber DJs, will spill over into venue’s courtyard and recently revived basement space. You’ll need tickets for François K, but otherwise it’s all free.

Fri 26 – Sun 28 May, The Refuge, Oxford Street, Manchester M60 7HA. Tel: 016 1 233 5151, times vary, FREE (Francois K tickets from Skiddle.com)
