The most influential British rap group of all time hit Manchester on Tuesday evening courtesy of The Doctor’s Orders and More Bounce. Paving the way for UK bass music dons now taking over the world and providing UK rap with an identity all of its own, London Posse took the scene of the time forward in leaps and bounds. Flipping the game on its head with their proud and controversial use of British accents over the preferred American-mimicking popular in the mid-eighties, their birth in sound system culture combined this with a ragga style over no-nonsense instrumentals. Three decades after their debut, Rodney P, Bionic and DJ Billy Biznizz perform together for the first time in 20 years.
