As far as musicians who mask their identities go, few are as mysterious and beguiling as Swedish group, Goat. Materialising in 2012 with album World Musicwhich received critical acclaim from every corner of the world, the band is said to have gone through 30 years of incarnations that were born out of Korpilombolo; a land claimed to have a history steeped in voodoo worship. It is here that Goat developed their unique blend of psychedelic rock, Afrobeat and funk, and coupling with their striking tribal ensemble only compounds their spiritual effect on the listener. Support comes from Hookworms, Jane Weaver and more – pen this one in your diary.
