Starting out with a series of bedroom demos seven years ago, Tom Krell, who records as How to Dress Well, has continued to develop his sound as his productions have increased. Where in the earlier years his ghostly, subdued R&B melodies likened him to James Blake and Frank Ocean, his fourth album Care differs through its brightness and further shift towards pop; a distinctive euphoria that clearly marks a different stage of Krell’s life. Like its title suggests, this album is about discovering what it’s like to care – and this is your opportunity to observe Krell’s revelations.
