Former chef at Cheshire’s Lord Clyde and a recent star turn at The Lowry, Ernst Van Zyl can now be found at The Hanging Gate in Macclesfield Forest. For one night only, he is holding a supper club at Oldham Street-based The Koffee Pot with a four-course menu. Starting with treacle cured trout served with salsify, soy and pineapple, the second course is a dish of purple sprouting broccoli with shallot, hazelnut and crème fraiche. Duck breast leads the main, with salt baked celeriac, polenta and blood orange, before ending with a dessert combination of rhubarb and beetroot. Vegetarian options and gluten free menu tweaks are available on what will be a special dining experience. Booking is required, through the link below.
