When we connect with an art form,  affects on you can be profound, transcendental and lasting. Albert Camus is probably best known for his absurdist works, and didn’t much care for rationalism. He mused, ‘There is only one really serious philosophical question, and that is suicide’, which introduces The Myth of Sisyphus. This essay, as read by an unhappy 17 year old Kiran Leonard, was moving and comforting to him. A piece of art that documents self-care, self-esteem and hope is one that inspired Leonard to write his new single in response, Living With Your Ailments. It’s the spotlight of Derevaun Seraun, his new album (follow up to last year’s acclaimed Grapefruit) to be released in September on Moshi Moshi which is adorned with piano, string trio and voice. In his supporting tour, he’ll be on piano accompanied with a string trio; playing his new album in full.
