The Warehouse Project relaunches in September with LCD Soundsystem’s first UK headline shows for six years. James Murphy’s revived project will start the British leg of its world tour in Manchester following the release of a long-awaited fourth album ‘American Dream’. The Brooklyn electro-rockers had disbanded, but following moody seasonal single Christmas Will Break Your Heart, they formally reunited for festival dates in 2016 that took in Glastonbury and Primavera. Manchester’s winter clubberland The Warehouse Project held their first nights at Store Street in 2007: the opening weekend with LCD Soundsystem – the band’s first Manc dates since 2010 – marks the start of 12 more weeks of partying under the former air-raid shelter nestled beneath Piccadilly Station. Support acts will be announced next month: meanwhile, tickets go on sale on Wednesday 21st June at 9am.
