PechaKucha Nights are a popular kind of presentation event, where a number of people deliver short, snappy talks. Manchester’s regular event returns later this month at the new venue of Ziferblat, the pay-for-your-stay café in the Northern Quarter. A series of local creatives will be stepping up to the plate to take the PechaKucha challenge. Each presenter will have 20 slides, and will talk about each one for 20 seconds, with no stopping. The result is like a mini TED conference, but with less waffle. Appearing will be Kladi from Studio Printmysoul, who will be discussing the popular street art event ‘Cities of Hope’. Also on the bill are: Craig Oldham, a designer and creative consultant; musician Jay Taylor; and Ben Davies, Ziferblat’s own head of marketing. The full line-up can be found on the website, below. Tickets are selling fast, so be sure to book soon.

Thu 24 Nov, Ziferblat, 23 Edge Street, Northern Quarter, Manchester, M4 1HW, Tel: 07714 468 257, 7-9.30pm, £8, www.eventbrite.co.uk
