This new comedy makes its world premiere at the Coliseum this month. Co-created by the award-winning Lip Service theatre company (aka Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding) and the Coliseum, the plot sees Doreen Gray enjoying a lively broadcasting career. But when Doreen turns 50 and finds that her face no longer fits the bill in an environment where youth and appearances count for more than they ought to, she makes a dark pact in an attempt to get her life back on track. Fox and Ryding are among Britain’s best loved writer-performers. They’ve written 18 original comedies for the stage, had their own comedy series on BBC Radio 4 and work extensively across children’s TV. Following sell-out Coliseum performances of Desperate to be Doris and Inspector Norse, the duo are back.
