This Halloween, West End smash Stones in His Pockets heads to Oldham. Winners of various best new comedy awards, it’s set in a small town in County Kerry, Ireland, that becomes the filming location for a Hollywood movie. The townspeople are initially excited to be rubbing shoulders with famous people, but the production crew’s romanticised view of the Emerald Isle conflicts with the realities of life in the town. Tensions arise, and things come to a head when a local teenager is humiliated by one of the film’s stars. This two-hander sees all 15 characters portrayed by the same pair of actors.
