St James Square coffee artisans Caffeine & Co open their new café in Spinningfields today, with a fuller range of coffee and food to choose from. Featuring a Mahlkonig EK43 grinder – which means decaf, guest espresso plus single and bulk filter choices on demand – and a full menu of daily slow-cooks, soup, home-baked cakes and bread, sandwiches and breakfasts (see today’s menu here), the new 30-seat café is a big step up from the tiny St James Square location. And that’s not all: from Thursday to Saturday evenings, the new location will also be home to a weekly pop-up bar serving craft beers, wine, whiskey and more, alongside small sharing plates of cheese, charcuterie and Italian cicchetti, with hopes of turning the bar into a permanent addition in the coming months. Great coffee, home-baked goods and real ale all under one roof – what’s not to love?
