True tales are set to bloom in Gullivers this month with The Real Story. The headliner of Manchester’s first live creative non-fiction night comes in the form of Guardian columnist, BBC Radio 4 broadcaster and novelist Laura Barton (pictured). She’s joined by Manchester’s writerly dad, Benjamin Judge and Adam Farrar. The Real Story: LIVE! is hosted by lit buffs Kate Feld and Nija Dalal. Barton’s first novel, Twenty One Locks, won a Betty Trask Award, while her new non-fiction book explores the relationship between music and sadness.
