If you’re looking for local parties this August Bank Holiday, look no further than Chorlton bars’ takeover of Manchester Road. Under the banner of Neighbourhood Jam, their suburban community spirit will flow to the tune of beers, baked goods and boogies. The Beagle and Font Chorlton are both boasting a stellar roster of DJs – the former featuring Aficionado’s Moonboots and Jason Boardman spinning Balearic beats on the decks ’til 1am and the latter hosting Summer Soul BBQ’s sounds of hip hop, soul, funk and disco by Boutique Beats and Family Affair. Opting for belly fillers rather than floor fillers, Marble Beerhouse will be home to doughy pop-up I Knead Pizza from 5-9pm, serving up wood-fired delights to swallow with your Manchester brewed ale. More details are still to be announced, with Tea Hive, Mary and Archie, Proof and Pi also taking part in a day to see out the summer in style.
