The Peek A Groove Collective are a bunch of record lovers who are used to playing rare grooves at some of the city’s more musically choice spots such as Dulcimer and Cottonopolis. This motherlode of an event for Easter Sunday could be named nothing less than a ‘jamboree’ though, as they’ve put together 18 selectors for a full day of pre-summer sunshine vibes for The Font in Chorlton. As well as an outside BBQ and guest beers on tap, DJs from Better Days, Local, Ghetto Child and Grounded Sound (plus yours truly) will be bringing good times and, since the event is strictly wax only, acts an appetite whetter for Manchester’s Record Store Day goings-on the following weekend.

Sun 16 April,  The Font Chorlton, 115-117 Manchester Road, Manchester M21 9PG. Tel: 0161 871 2022, noon-1am, FREE, www.facebook.com

Thanks to Groovement.
