Get set to sweat at First Chop with a night of old skool, rave, techno, and hardcore music. Some of the city’s most serious party DJs including Russ Marland, Johnny Abstract, and Mikey D.O.N. will be playing sets using vinyl only. The event aims to raise funds for High on Hope, a new documentary movie about warehouse raves and acid house music. The film is already complete, but funds are needed to license the music. There will be raffle, with prizes donated by the likes of fashion guru Wayne Hemingway, artist Dave Little, and the folks behind Identity Clothing as well as a big night and aftershow party included in the price.

Sat 1 Nov, First Chop Brewing Arch, Unit 3, Trinity Row, Trinity Way, Salford, M3 5EN, 8pm – 1am, Tickets: £6.50 (early bird), www.skiddle.com
