Thu 13 Apr: Hit & Run present Shades (EPROM X Alix Perez) @ Mint Lounge
A real coup for Manchester here, as EPROM (USA) and Alix Perez (Belgium) bring their woofer-destroying duo Shades to the Mint Lounge. Dark, bassy, firmly rooted in hip hop and a cut above anything you might label EDM from the last few years. Etch, Red Eye Hi-Fi with Berry Blac (of Cul De Sac) and T Don support with T-Man on hosting duties. Rich Reason celebrates his 35th birthday with a set, too! Don’t buy him a drink though, it’s his night.

Sat 22 Apr: Record Store Day and Night @ Eastern Bloc Records
It’s Record Store Day, and Manchester will be alive with music. Eastern Bloc is one of the main hubs for the day, with DJs kicking off at 9am and spinning until 4am! That’s almost as long as people will be queueing for RSD at Piccadilly Records. They’ll be carrying on the party with a separate Soundwave Launch at Stage & Radio too, including Children Of Zeus and Mr Thing – check that here.
