Manchester’s historic shopping and dining address King Street will be the venue for a weekend-long festival in early June. Seemingly all the high-end shops for which the street is famous are joining in with discounts and in-store events. For example, the White Stuff will be giving out goodie bags, and DKNY will have a prosecco bar. The area’s newest restaurant, Suri, will be extending its al fresco dining, and serving Middle Eastern-inspired sharing plates. All Bar One will have an outdoor Mojito bar and cocktail making classes. Nearby Pall Mall Court will be made over to feel like a village green, complete with croquet, and a gin bar. If that’s not enough booze, there’s a ‘cocktail trail’ from Rosso all the way down to Bridge Street. However, if you’re not a fan of the demon drink, there will be plenty of other things to see and do. The street itself will be transformed with pop-up gardens, crazy golf, and a bandstand.
