The 117th annual International Cheese Awards is taking place in Nantwich, Cheshire. Look out for everything from local artisan firms to international brands at the lively Nantwich Show which includes the famous awards. Previous shows have seen 30,000 visitors sampling over 4,000 different cheeses, and this year the event features special guests including chefs James Martin and Jonathan Harrison, who will be giving cooking demonstrations. Tickets for these displays are limited, so book early. The Nantwich Show is an agricultural event that features rural crafts, falconry and arena displays. There’s also a display of farming equipment, if you’re in the market for a brand new combine harvester. We have one family ticket up for grabs which allows two adults and two children entry to the event on Wednesday 30 July. To be in with a chance of winning please send an email to competitions at manchesterwire dot co dot uk with “SAY CHEESE” in the subject line. Please include your name, age, Twitter handle and phone number. We usually tweet our winner – so make sure you check your Twitter on a regular basis.
