Following a highly successful inaugural event last year, Design Manchester returns for an extended ten-day run at the town hall and other venues across the city to celebrate the creative collaborations in the world of creative media. The core conference day will take place on Friday and will feature internationally recognised guests discussing this year’s theme ‘The Science of Imagination’ and giving insights into their work. Speakers include acclaimed graphic designer Rejane Dal Bello, creative director of Build design studio Michael C. Place and interaction designer Ross Phillips. Also taking place is Manchester Print Fair at the People’s History Museum, with over 30 stalls of artists’ books, zines, and posters. The cities@manchester panel will discuss the role that designers have to play in making dynamic cities at TwentyTwentyTwo, whilst an Adidas Spezial exhibition showcases over 650 pairs of rare, vintage, deadstock, re-issues and collaboration trainers. There are many other events, some of which require registration or tickets. Browse the full festival programme here.
