Northern Quarter bar and restaurant The Blue Pig has expanded its lunchtime menu with a new design your own £5 sandwich and salad selection. Whether eating in or on the go, the new Piggy sandwiches or salads include a mouthwatering selection of main ingredients suitable for everyone from vegans to those who eat everything. We like the look of cajun chicken, chemoulah-spiced halloumi and cannelini bean  and sweetcorn falafels. Once you’ve picked your key flavour, simply name your bread or leaves (choose from wholemeal, ciabatta or salad) and add a pickle. The range includes wood-fired bell peppers, jalapenos, dill pickles, roasted fennel, marinated artichokes and more. Pick a dressing (we can’t choose between red repper pesto and guacamole) and tuck into a fresh, personalised lunch for just £5. Fancy something  different? The Blue Pig’s main lunch menu includes gourmet takes on bubble and squeak with multi-award-winning Burt’s Blue artisan cheese from Altrincham, a harissa spiced lamb burger and St Louis ribs with a Buffalo Trace bourbon glaze.
