A Guy Called Gerald returns to Victoria Baths for a surprise Acid House Pool Party this Easter Sunday (Apr 16). The Warehouse Project, The Hacienda and Boiler Room will team up to recreate a classic 1988 episode of Tony Wilson’s ‘The Other Side of Midnight’. which Wilson presented waist-deep in water. As well as A Guy Called Gerald, who performed with Graham Massey at the 1988 event, there’ll be music from Danny Rampling, Artwork, MNLTH and Hacienda legend Jon Dasilva. Boiler Room will stream the event between 3pm and 7pm, so bring your best speedos. This surprise announcement follows the news that Victoria Baths has been resurrected for Easter, hosting its first public swimming for 24 years. For a drier clubbing experience, you may want to go to Manchester: An Acid Special at Gorilla the day before (Apr 15) with acid house stalwarts Ceephax Acid Crew and Posthuman. All in all, Easter 2017 is one for the ravers.
