Starting this Friday is The Oxjam Manchester Takeover, a three-day live music festival which takes place at six venues across Chorlton. The festival aims to showcase the best unsigned bands and artists, and every penny raised will go directly to Oxfam. The venues taking part are: Dulcimer, Coopers, Morley Cheek’s, St. Clement’s Church, Oddest, and The Jam Inn. One ticket will grant you access to all of them. Everything kicks off on Friday evening at Dulcimer, and on Saturday the festivities will take place all day at every venue. Along with the bands, there will also be DJs, an art auction, a dance performance, and a record fair. The biggest venue, St. Clement’s, will also have a pop-up bar serving specially-brewed festival beer. On Sunday things return to Dulcimer for an evening-long closing party. Please see the website below for the full listings and times.
