There’s an early Christmas present under the tree at Common on 13 December as Manchester Camerata’s brass quartet have confirmed a special free performance of carols to help get you in the festive spirit. The event marks the Camerata’s third outing to the Northern Quarter bar, helping to expose classical music to a wider audience via a mixture of traditional and modern pieces. Founded in 1972, the popular orchestra have produced music as diversely as reimagining Hacienda classics to scoring Hitchcock’s Psycho and are renowned for their inventive twists, so expect to hear flourishes of virtuosity alongside all your favourites.
