Bank Holiday weekends are just like buses: you wait ages for one and then two come along at the same time. This one is packed with wild nights at the Northern Quarter’s favourite speakeasy, The Fitzgerald. The fun kicks off on Thursday evening with a free live music show from singer-songwriter Ellis Davies playing a mixture of upbeat blues and skewed pop covers alongside a very special menu of tequila cocktails (£10 for two). Friday night sees resident DJ Emma Clair serving a prohibition themed Bootlegging Beats party, while on Bank Holiday Sunday there’s more live music to enjoy. Table booking is recommended to snag a seat for the intoxicating folk stylings of Liam McClair, a rising star on the Manchester music scene this is one you won’t want to miss, and with the extensive cocktail list Fitzgerald has to offer you’ll be extra glad there’s a day off at the start of next week.
