Birthday badge-wearing bar Trof NQ has unveiled a star-studded seven days to celebrate 10 years of the best in booze, beats, eats and good times. And to start it’s second decade in style, the Northern Quarter establishment has programmed a week’s worth of exceptional entertainment. Attractions include a massive La Discotheque party (Sat 27 May) with Disco Mums, El Diablo’s Social Club and Will Tramp! among the floor-fillers lined up, plus a new bands showcase from Stay Fresh (Mon 29 May). The party vibes kick off on Thursday (25 May) with brash brass speakeasy vibes conjured by the Brass Swingers Club, swiftly succeeded by funky groove guilds You Dig? and Wet Play, who share the decks on Fri 26 May. Tuck into Sun 28 May with a Sunday roast and the nourishing tunes of Pasta Paul, then jog your memory on Tue 30 May with Trof NQ’s birthday quiz. To send Trof through to the next ten years, Doves’ Jimi Goodwin and fellow Manchester melody makers The Travelling Band join the Thomas Street totem for the highest calibre open mic night ever on Wed 31 May.
