It’s a day long event covering everything from design theory through to production processes. Materials are provided, but lunch is not – so bring some sandwiches.

HOST Walking Tour at Spinningfields (pictured)
HOST is a site-specific installation at Spinningfields built specially for the Spinningfields Arts Commision, consisting of a number of bronze sculptures dotted around the area. It’s been up since November, but this week you’ve got a rare opportunity to take a tour of the installation led by none other than Hilary Jack, the artist who designed it. Let Jack tell you about the pieces that comprise HOST, how they were made and what their significance is within the installation, as she fields your questions. The installation itself runs until the end of February.
Thu 19 Jan, Spinningfields, Manchester, M3 3BE. 5.30pm – 7pm, www.eventbrite.co.uk
