It’s a busy weekend for free stuff, with renowned DJs, flea markets, live bands, France’s Fete de la Musique and a food waste festival. Yup, lap it up.

Disco Soup at The Wonder Inn
Ever been to a mini food waste festival? Nope? Well, now’s your chance, as The Real Junk Food Project Manchester presents the city’s first ever Disco Soup, where you’ll find a feast made entirely from ingredients that would otherwise have gone to waste along with art, activities, games and music. As the evening kicks in, they’re also teaming up with Shebeen and GRUB for an evening of live bands, DJs, beers, cocktails, food and dancing, all sprawling across the three floors of the intriguing and creative Shudehill venue, The Wonder Inn. The event itself is free, but you’re encouraged to offer a pay-as-you-feel donation for the meal.
