Independent venues are a vital part of every band’s beginnings, and this is a notion strongly supported by Tim Burgess of The Charlatans. He’s the ambassador for this year’s Independent Venue Week and he’s curated his own Tim Peaks tour to showcase new artists, which includes local favourite Horsebeach (pictured) at Soup Kitchen as part of his O Genesis label shows on Sunday 29 January. The tour takes place alongside gigs at 130+ participating venues across the UK. Manchester’s Band on the Wall, Soup Kitchen, Night & Day Cafe and Jimmy’s NQ will be taking part in Independent Venue Week. For more details of the shows in Manchester, and further afield, check out the full listings below.
