The former Oldham nightclub, Dreamers, is remembered in a new production at the town’s Coliseum theatre. Helped by an open call for anecdotes and memories contributed by locals who used to dance the night away, the show is a chance to reminisce, but also offers the added drama of characters looking back at the golden days 20 years on. Incorporating an indie soundtrack to transport the audience back in time, a group of women separated by time remember their wild nights ending at the Yorkshire Street venue, then up the stairs into the smallest nightclub in the world. The show features the Dreamers Community Choir and an all-female cast, who combine TV credits on Shameless (Sally Carman), Coronation Street (Rachel Leskovac) and Emmerdale (Marie Critchley).
