Levenshulme Market is now a weekly fixture on the city’s cultural calendar, featuring an ever-changing roster of artisan stalls. Each event has a theme, which may include specialist stalls with homewares, crafts, and artworks. There are always vendors selling street food too, plus local produce including fresh bread. The market has had huge success since its launch in 2013, and has doubled in size to 50 stalls. The organisers aim to make it the kind of place where visitors can pick up something special, but also buy a lot of their weekly shopping. The market can be found at usual location between Levenshulme station and Stockport Road, a site that has been improved thanks to a grant from Manchester City Council. Expect live music and family entertainment throughout the day.
