After last month’s Halloween spooktacular, the Makers Market returns to the Lowry Piazza for four days crammed with festive flavours, artistry and fun. Rubbing shoulders with famous Lowry art gallery and theatre, the market’s seasonal stallholders include artists of all types, from photographers to illustrators and crafters to jewellery makers. Festive foods on sale include truffles, mince tarts, cheeses and artisan bakery, plus hot platters spanning global street food styles. Perfect whether you’re nipping out of work for a lunch treat or hoarding for your hibernation, the locally-produced menus cater for gluten-free, vegan and omnivorous tastes alike. On top of all that, there’s added Xmas excitement with a Victorian carnival atmosphere provided by traditional games and pop-up entertainment, with circus skills workshops, penny farthing riders and a tin can alley.
