Withington gets its own Makers Market this weekend including food, finds, fashions and lashings of live music from 11am -4pm. Produced by The Withington Civic Society, Makers Market and local retailers, food on offer includes doorstop-sized brownies from Ian Treats and satisfying food to go from the Veggie Pie Co. The trend for posh toasted cheese reaches Withington courtesy of Viva La Toastie while hotdog specialists the Dog Haus serve German Bratwurst and other meaty treats. Arts and crafts for sale include Ben Sedman’s Manchester images, while String Effects create unique artworks from old guitar strings. Local musicians playing from 11am as part of a line up curated Withington institution, Deco Records, include the Izzie Walsh Band, Acid Haystack Acoustic, Jim Adama, The Mantells, Matt & Allan, Flicker Road and AJ Warner.
